SKU: 377
Size 10cm x 8cm
A large curved speciman of black biotite, sitting on top of a matrix of pyrite. The pyrite on the back is shown in the second photo. The radium hill mine was started in 1906 and abandoned in 1961, and was australias first uranium mine. It is also the type locality for Davidite (La) .This speciman was collected in the underground mine during the 1950's by a mine worker. We obtained this piece from an old collection from a radium hill worker many years ago. Radium Hill specimans are never seen on the market and have never been abundant.
